A bespoke collaboration of whiskies selected by 12 of the most innovative bartenders in the world. The malt ranges from 5 different decades, matured in a diverse range of oaks including American and European, as well as a variety of sherry casks, red wine barriques and German oak.
Auchentoshan are based near Glasgow in the lowlands, and are the only Scottish Single Malt producers to insist on triple distillation for each of their whiskies. Distilling three times instead of the usual twice clears away more impurities in the liquid, allowing strong notes of fruit and citrus to come through. This, in addition to using an unpeated malt, is what helps create the smooth, delicate and sweeter flavour that makes Auchentoshan stand apart from the rest.
They mature their whisky in specially selected casks, often ex-bourbon, sherry or fine wine casks. The spirit works together with the wood over the years to lend natural colour and flavour to the final whisky.
