The Oakheart from Bacardi is a golden amber spiced rum which witholds robust flavours. It is a smooth and spiced number with hints of smoke and dried fruit. The nose has a light oaky accent with caramel, butterscotch and a hint of vanilla. On the palette it is quite creamy, allowing the flavours to really linger and allow the taste of vanilla, butterscotch and maple syrup to power through the taste-buds.
In 1862, Don Facundo Bacardi Masso, set out to make a rum that stood out from others. He spent the next 10 years culminating blends that he was glad to serve the population of Cuba. He would never settle and continually searched for different approaches to better his product.
