Black Betty’s full of hops (Bam-Ba-Lam)
Based on an idea revolving around the classic "Black Jack and Fruit Salads", beneath her dark and brooding exterior, you might be surprised to find that Betty is a big, sweet softy. Her colour comes from the use of German Carafa malts but, despite what you might expect, she’s far from bitter.
Beavertown wanted to take a big fat IPA, lace it with undertones of roast coffee and aniseedy liqourice and blend it with the huge tropical aromas of Pacific West Coast hops. Columbus for hints of black pepper and more liqourice, Chinook for grapefruit, and Citra for extra grapefruit and mango.
