Berton is a family-run set up that has risen promptly from humble beginnings in 2005. Having started on a plot of land that was dubbed 'the Bonsai' vineyard due to its gnarled, water-deprived vines, founder/owner Bob Berton introduced a better water supply and, resultantly, blinding wines.

This Cabernet has an impenetrable black colour, fragrant and concentrated aromas of blackcurrant, fresh tobacco and sweet pepper and an intense, fine-grained palate of cassis, minerals and toasty oak.

Berton Vineyards was established in 1996 by Bob and Cherie Berton when they purchased a block of land in High Eden, a sub-region of the Barossa Valley, South Australia. This idyllic property sits 450m above sea level on gently rolling hills - except for the Chardonnay block which is anything but gentle! The winery, in the New South Wales township of Yenda, was established in 1945 and has the capacity to crush and bottle approximately 20,000 tonnes annually and has a storage capacity of 14 million litres. From humble beginnings in 2005 Berton Vineyards has grown into one of the 20 largest wineries in Australia. Both their winery and their wines have received strong reviews and accolades both domestically and internationally. They attribute their success to maintaining personal relationships with people. Since acquiring the site in 2005 they have been constantly updating and improving their facility. Recent improvements include the addition of a new tank farm, warehouse and state of the art filler for our bottling line.

This Cabernet Sauvignon has an impenetrable black colour. It is fragrant and concentrated, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, fresh tobacco and sweet pepper. The palate is intense and concentrated with a fine structure showing abundant blackberry, cassis, minerals and light toasty oak notes that combine to give a long persistent finish.
