Bestheim Gewurztraminer Fourmidable 2017

They say that one is the loneliest number, that it takes two to tango and three is apparently magic but where does that leave little old four? Well, we think four is actually the best of all the numbers (yeah, you heard right forty-two; you’re not the answer to everything!) You see, the Gewürztraminer grapes in this bottle of Bestheim Fourmidable are sourced from the four best vineyards in the Bestheim estate, each one contributing a slightly different characteristic to the final wine.

With an incredibly aromatic nose of lychee, nectarine and rose that are met on the palate by notes of exotic fruits and a spicy undertone perhaps the only thing better than a bottle of this Alsatian Gewürztraminer, is four of them!

Maison Heim was established in 1765 as a family wine merchant in Westhalten. Over the years, the winery has evolved, changed and expanded with the times. In 1997, Maison Heim joined forces with the Cave de Westhalten, then the Cave de Bennwihr, and created the Bestheim brand.

Ants are featured on their labels to symbolise the hard work and team efforts in producing their certified organic wines. There are 4 ants to represent their 4 vineyards, from which only the best fruits are used. The winery also has a number of tools in place that are an investment toward their goal to reduce energy and water consumption during the winemaking process, recycling as much as possible.
