Bolney Estate Kew Sparkling Wine
£32.00
Kew Gardens is an astonishing place; in the midst of the dissipating smog and fleets of Chelsea tractors there is a microcosm of unbridled nature, which feels both ancient and perennial. Plus, if you're lucky enough, you may see the flowering of the extremely rare Amorphophallus titanum which loosely translates as "giant misshapen man-sabre," that is described as smelling unrestrainedly putrid. Thankfully, although this wine shares a similar majesty and mystique with this noble plant, that's where the similarities end. Bolney Wine Estate and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, have combined their exceptional expertise to create an English sparkling with gentle floral, zesty citrus fruit, honeysuckle and elderflower notes that finishes with just a hint of sweetness. One last distinction between this wine and the Amorphophallus titanum; you don't have to wait 100 years for it to open, in fact, you could pop it right now!
Bolney Wine Estate and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, have combined their exceptional expertise to create a sparkling wine that evokes the fragrant sights and sounds of the Sussex countryside with each and every sip. Bolney Wine Estate is one of the longest established English vineyards and has been making award-winning English wines at its Sussex estate for over 35 years. The sandstone soils are some of the best in the country, providing the ideal setting to grow vines. The Bolney Wine Estate is a haven for wildlife and, through its traditional production methods and cultural practices, avidly promotes and maintains soil health, fertility and stability in its vineyards.
The Bolney Estate Kew Sparkling wine is produced following the same traditional method as is used to produce Champagne, providing a luxurious, flavour-filled wine.
