We like to think of Cava as the Matthew McConaughey of sparkling wines. No one really took it seriously during the 90s, it was a wine you’d buy for a friend you weren’t that fussed about or a bottle you’d cast in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
Yet Cava has recently gone through its ‘True Detective’ phase; deep, complex and pairs great with Woody Harelson!
That is to say Cava has had a massive spike in quality, while still offering exceptional value for money compared to Champagne and other sparklings. The Cami de Flors is expressive of Soft aging aroma with signs of flower, ripe fruit and citric. Extremely vivacious in mouth compensated with a pleasant elegance and equilibrium. The aftertaste remains to white fruits and some signs of citric. A wine that is well worthy of a cameo in a Scorsese picture.
