Alter Ego: Boudica; like the queen of ancient Britain who led a rebellion against the Romans, Caol Ila is beautiful yet prickly, rebellious, unpredictable, challenging, very much of the countryside, fiercely proud of its heritage and not afraid to stand up to the big boys. Caol Ila is a grower, but perseverance will be greatly rewarded.
Caol Ila is the largest working distillery in Islay and has been producing whisky since 1846.
