Château de Balan has been the property of the Jeans family for two generations. They are very involved in the management of the estate, which is located in the Entre-Deux-Mers area and covers 24 hectares. The vineyard is planted on an exceptional soil. It consists of clay, limestone and sand. This great diversity and the influence of a particular microclimate gives elegance and aromatic complexity to this wine. The vineyard of Château de Balan is located on the hills and dominates the Garonne river. The estate produces two wines: a Bordeaux AOP and a Bordeaux Supérieur AOP.

The wine offers a beautiful and brilliant red colour with purple tints. The nose, persistent and complex reveals ripe black fruit scents with spicy notes. On the palate, rich and aromatic, delivers cherry and blueberry jam aromas. The wine shows a nice structure, well-balanced with silky tannins and ends with an ample finish.
