Let the flower and citrus flavours of this unearthly white orbit your palate, and you'll be starry eyed; but spare a moment to think of the effort of harvesting this beauty. Mercury is 48 million miles from Earth. And we think every mile is worth it, for a wine this special. Oh, hang on. MercurEY... right. Well it's still extremely good.
Chateau Chamirey, built in the early 18th century, is built on a rocky headland that overlooks the village of Chamirey. The Chateau's build was heavily influenced by Italian architecture, standing elegantly and looking down on French gardens.
The estate is currently run by Amaury and Aurore Devillard, whose grandfather, Marquis de Jouennes, decided to begin bottling the wines made at Chateau de Chamirey at the domaine in 1934.
