Throughout history, brotherly love has played a significant role in shaping our society. We may never have taken to the skies if it wasn't for the Wrights, the stories of we tell our children would be vastly different if it wasn't for the Grimms and we would never have learnt to avoid films featuring people whos surname is Affleck if it wasn't for the Affleck brothers. It is the brothers Jean-Christophe and Jean-Philippe Saby however, that may have given the world the most significant brotherly contribution. For it is the Saby brothers that have given us this exquisite bottle of Montagne Saint Emilion teeming with ripe aromas of plum, bramble and mixed currants. The palate is voluptuous with a pleasing mouthfeel and ripe, subtle tannins consolidating into a lingering finish. It's better than the original Cinderella anyway, that was frankly harrowing.

Château Guillou is owned and operated by the Saby Family who are specialists of wines from the right bank of Bordeaux and have been oenologists from father to son, for several generations. This estate, in its current form has existed since 1870. The vineyard is situated on a plateau of clay and limestone and on hillslopes made up of silt from the river. Château Guillou has won many awards from France's highly regarded wine contests. Since 2011, the Vignobles Saby has operated under the Environmental Management System program for Bordeaux wines. Heirs of the family passion, the sons Jean-Christophe and Jean-Philippe who are both oenologists, produce powerful and ripe wines while combining tradition and modernity. Respect is the key word of these two brothers and their target is to produce quality wines. Despite the diversity of the soils, vintage after vintage Saby vineyards produce wines with a beautiful dark ruby colour, with an intense nose of blooming red fruits that have the characteristics of the great wines of the region.
