With a beautiful garnet robe and appealing aromatic aromas, it follows up on the palate expressive red fruits (strawberry and blackcurrant), delivered in an elegant and round attack. The wine is well-balanced with unctuous, with silky tannins.
The Haut Courneau estate is situated on five hectares of sand, clay and limestone soil and is planted with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. In 1981 Dominique Haverlan was taking care of this estate as a tenant, farming, and ended buying it in 1993. Her simple aim is ‘to all customers the best value for money and pleasure every time’.
The grapes undergo a vigorous selection process. The wine is vinified using ‘traditional’ techniques and undergoes maceration for 15 to 20 days. After vinification is aged for six months in tanks and six months in oak barrels.
