Château Lafleur de Haute Serre-Cahors 2015

Chateau Lafleur de Haute-Serre is gives such pleasure to the consumer, much like a fine novel it is a wine that you want to see right through to the end. It is a powerful, well built red with lovely expressions of earthiness and black truffle on the nose. Softness and elegance dominate the palate with a wonderful balance between acidity, tannins and red fruits.

George Vigouroux re-introduced the grape to Cahors in 1975 and has produced a range of award-winning wines, identifiable by their deep ruby robe and intense aromas along with silky tannins that give a deliciously velvety mouthfeel.

The perfect illustration of the spirit of the Vigouroux family: to make wines that give pleasure to the consumer, just like for a good novel when you’re eager to find out the end, when you taste a good wine you want to go to the end of the bottle. In addition to benefiting from an exceptional terroir, this second vin makes the most of the know-how from a high performance team that here has imagined a cuvée that is different from the Château classic, an assembly of Malbec and Merlot. Though Château Lafleur de Haute-Serre is well-built over a powerful framework, the tannins are ripe and velvety. Black and candied fruit coat the polyphenols perfectly, making the whole really pleasant to taste. A charming Cahors to enjoy on any occasion.
