It's great being in an exclusive club, recognised by your peers that you belong among the elite of your industry, we say that, we don't actually know. The Illuminati are still reluctant for us to provide the wine for their events, apparently, we can't be trusted with the secrets of the military-industrial complex, bloomin' reptilians!
Famille Perrin, producers of Chateau de Beaucastel, are in a very different, yet no less exclusive collective. Members of the Primum Familiae Vini (First Families of Wine) along with the likes of Pol Roger, Mouton Rothschild and Vega Sicilia, they are recognised as one of the world’s finest family run wineries.
Well-deserved in our humble opinion, given they produce wines such as this, with a powerful palate of black cherries, bramble, blackberries and garrigue, accompanied by well-integrated oak aromas of peppercorn and star anise. Despite feeling a little youthful, the tannins are silky, and the mouthfeel is luxuriously weighty.
