Port may traditionally be a festive treat but, trust us, if someone puts a pecan pie and a glass of Churchill's 20 year old Tawny Port under your nose, you should not hesitate. We're talking Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, whether you're mowing the lawn or doing Pilates on a hill top, you need to down tools, park your bum down and savour its toasty, warmly sweet yet pleasingly dry goodness right there. With the pie. Do not forget the pie.

Reddish tawny in colour, it has a delicate, almond-scented nose, with a rich, honeyed palate. A fantastic combination of age and finesse.

Churchill’s may, by some, be considered a baby of the Port trade both in scale and age having only been founded in 1981, it has its roots deeply imbedded into quality Port history. Indeed Johnny Graham’s family used to own the famous Graham’s Port until it was sold in 1970. He and his Wife, Caroline (maiden name Churchill) created the company when Johnny left a job at Taylor’s where he had been in the winemaking team, having spent the years before that working for Cockburns.

Churchill’s 20 Years Old Tawny Port is an expression of Douro terroir combined with delicate ageing in season oak casks. The result of this combination is a port full of finesse whilst still retaining Churchill’s characteristic fresh identity.

A reddish tawny colour with a golden rim. A delicate nose of almonds and red Moreno cherries. Savoury and rich on the palate, without loosing the grip, it’s a combination of age and finesse, finishing long and fresh.

This 20 year-old Tawny Port combines very well with dried fruits, roasted almonds and mature cheeses.
