With a glittering, twinkling golden hue, that winks and entices you in, this South American rum is an attractive prospect for many people. Alter Ego: the gilded tribal chief, El Dorado; a mesmerising golden character that has inspired stories of great heroics and discovery, El Dorado is shrouded in mystery. However, unlike the chief and the Lost City named after him, you can actually succeed in unlocking this mystery.
Made using a blend of distillations from the Uitvlugt Savalkle Still and the Enmore Wooden Coffey Still, this mellow Guyanese rum is aged for a minimum of five years in bourbon casks. Kicking off with fruity, rich and intensely buttery notes, it goes on to reveal more notes of butterscotch, caramel and vanilla-infused coconut.
