A little quiet can be greatly apricated sometimes, like when you've spent all year working next to a collection of students and for 6 months you've endured a cacophony of teenage arguments, house music and nervous attempts at seduction, then they leave and you can finally hear the screaming toddlers in the nursery next door... Our office location is not ideal.

Yet sometimes, a bit of volume is exactly what the doctor ordered. Like in Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, the strings come slow and gentle, it builds and then suddenly, bam; fortissimo and it's all "DA DA DA DA DUH DUH DUH!" (that would've been much more impactful if this was an audible tasting note.)

Same with wine, you might want a restrained and quiet white now and again but sometimes you need a red that is a battle cry of ripe red berry fruits, baking spices with a warm smooth, texture.
Fortissimo; a wine with such volume, it'll strike the whole room dumb.

C for 14 days. 7 months ageing in French and American oak barriques.
