Fume Blanc is a style of wine that we frankly don’t see enough. Perhaps because wine drinkers don’t understand what it is, perhaps because they are unsure how a barrel fermented Sauvignon works or maybe, people are disconcerted that Fume Blanc sounds like 'white smoke' and are concerned that by drinking it, the bottle will indicate to the Catholic church that they have been elected as the new Pope… "The wine is great, I’m just not sure I can pull off the big white hat." That may be the most ecclesiastical joke we've ever made. Opening this delicious bottle of Fox Gordon Fume Blanc will not actually reveal the next Pope, it will however, present an intense bouquet of fresh peach and stone fruits, a palate of almonds, nougat and red apples, with creamy complexity and a long steely finish. Drinking Fume Blanc is not part of the papal conclave ritual but after that first sip, the cardinals may think it should be!

You’ll find Fox Gordon’s estate vineyard in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, overlooking McLaren Vale. Nestled in its own natural amphitheatre, the vineyard sits 380 metres above sea level with cooling breezes from the ocean less than 18 kilometres away. This pristine climate and sustainable winemaking practices, allow Fox Gordon to produce wines with elegance, balance, and refinement.
