The vineyard for the Clos des Ormes, Morey-Saint-Denis is directly underneath the Grand Cru vineyard Clos de la Roche. The wine has a floral and fresh nose with red currant notes. The palate is vibrant with rich, crunchy red fruits and a concentrated black currant finish.
Marchand-Tawse's aim is to always be true to the terroir, in order to do this the wine maker has a light hand and adapts the winemaking and ageing to each specific wine. All the operations are performed in harmony with the lunar biodynamic calendar to take full advantage of nature's rhythm and energy. The results are distinctive wines, elegant, pure and a honest picture of the terroir and vintage.
