Cava, cava, sip as you lather, it’s best in the tub, when you’re having a scrub, right before you raid the larder. Can you tell we’re in a silly mood? Nothing different there in all honesty… Anyway, there are some kernels of truth, we feel, in this little ditty; namely that if you’re enjoying a night in and having a lovely bubbly bath at home, with the candles lit and something nice on the stove, we think this is just the ticket. Turn up the music, pour in some more hot water and… relax.
This Cava is made with Macabeo, Perellada, Xarel.lo grapes that are grown on vines in the warm hills just inland of Barcelona, that are tempered by the cooling Atlantic breeze.
Made using the ‘Méthode Champenoise’, in which secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle, and spent at least 15 months ageing on its lees before natural disgorgement.
Clean and bracing with Granny Smith apple and pear flavours and a steady, pleasing mousse.
