The Omen taught us many things; firstly, beware the number of the beast; for it is a human number. Watch out for people speaking Aramaic; it's a dead language for a reason. Finally, don't trust Gregory Peck with your adopted child; dude's got problems.

What wasn't covered in this 1976 Mephistophelian melodrama is how excellent the wine from the Sierra Foothills AVA are; a gaping plot-hole to our mind. Thankfully, Omen wines have gone out of their way to correct this oversight by making a devilishly delicious red blend of Syrah, Barbera, Petite Syrah and Zinfandel resonating flavours of blackberry jam, dark chocolate, and liquorice, coalescing into a rich spicy finish. O wait there's a 666 on the bottle; better drink it before it gains a foothold in the US political system.

Atlas Wines is a Napa, CA-based producer of world-class wines. Their portfolio has grown to contain three unique brands: Agnitio, Oro Bello, and Omen. These premiere wines are crafted to be consistent, approachable and ready for immediate enjoyment.

Omen Wines are hand-crafted with care from high-quality fruit that have come from “hidden gem” AVA vineyards.
Just south of Placerville, at an elevation of 2,306 you will find the Fair Play AVA. High mountainsides and deep granite soils develop grapes for intense wines. It’s astounding that this area has been growing incredible wine grapes since the California Gold Rush, yet it is still a relatively unknown, untapped goldmine of high quality fruit! As Shenandoah Valley is the least elevated AVA in the region, it has the warmest climate, making it ideal for growing Zinfandel. Fruit here are able to develop high sugar levels to produce full-bodied, spicy wines. The Cowan Ranch vineyard is made of sandy-loam and granitic soils which adds incredible richness to the Red Blend.
