Nothing her parents tried could help the little girl; until they turned to a storyteller. A man with a voice as gentle as the patter of rain on terracotta tile. His spell was instant. The soft, ripe notes of his voice, smooth as vanilla, lulled their daughter to sleep in no time. This wine is made in gratitude to him, Paternina as his nickname was; and it's every bit as eloquent.

Founded in 1896, Don Federico Paternina established his winery on a site featuring cellars dug in the 16th century in Rioja Alta. After passing through several hands along its history, in 2014 Marques de la Concordia decided to adopt this historic bodega to its family of wines and are now committed to preserving its status as among the most beloved names in Rioja.
