Any guess what our favourite Roald Dahl book is? The Magic Finger?! Goodness no, we’d receive a cease and desist from the NRA within minutes, nope our favourite is Fantastic Mr Fox. Charming, cunning and clever, that’s the book for us. However, we’re not sure Mr Fox had his eyes on the right prize. He spent all his time fixating on the hen house when he could’ve been getting his mits on this Montepulciano.
Smooth and balanced, with hints of cherry, bramble and violets on the nose that follow onto the palate supported by supple tannins and a velvety structure. Fresh ripe red fruits continue throughout but are met with a slightly savoury note on the finish. This is a wine for those with a truly Fantastic palate.
