Perhaps the biggest myth surrounding Champagne is that it shouldn’t be served with food. Looking to correct this misbelief, the Chef de Caves at Pierre Gimmonet et Fils selected some of his finest parcels of his wines from the finest years to create a wine so fresh and elegant yet robust and complex enough that it could be served throughout the entire meal, thus Sélection Belles Années was born. Bright with alluring flavours of apple, white peach, toast and a flinty minerality, the cuvée is distinguished by a delightful creaminess that will thrill your guests from aperitif to digestif.
Pierre Gimonnet et Fils are proud to be an independent grower. The Champagne that they produce is made from grapes harvested in their own vineyards; this gives them the ability to focus on the terroir and reflect the relationship between the terroir and the Chardonnay grape in their wines. There are 16 Premier Cru and 12 Grand Cru Gimonnet vineyards located in the Côtes des Blancs and they are all grown solely with Chardonnay. The Chardonnay that they grow is some of the best in the region.
