One of the most sought-after white styles of the moment, Portuguese Vinho Verde is a convention in its own right: one of those wines whose intrinsic quality offers that special something that certain white lovers want but can't describe. Its particular character comes from a faint twinkling almost spritz on the tip of the tongue and at just 11.5% this will slip down like a dream. Pale, dry and clean with only an ounce of delicate flavour.
The original Quinta de Azevedo dates back to the 11th century and was carefully restored in the early 1980s after Portuguese wine and port company, Sogrape, bought the estate.
