This Quinta de la Rosa is a 2015 Late Bottle Vintage... Hang on, we thought Douro wines were like Gandalf; "a Port is never late, it is bottled precisely when they mean to!" That's exactly right young Master Baggins, these Ports are called Late Bottled as they stay in cask for 6 years as opposed to 2 like traditional vintage Port. This means that they are approachable much earlier and do not require bottle aging or decanting. This wine from the legendary 2015 vintage has deep and complex characters of blackcurrants, blackberries, plums, violet and a touch of spice. In Perfect time for the cheese course!
