*SNORT. GRUNT ... WOBBLY CANTER* Where are they? Where 'ave those berries gone? AH. There they are. *NOM NOM NOM* ... Meet Red Boar. He's a lively, happy-go-lucky boar from Galicia who boasts strong, earthy, berry and vegetal aromas, has a stout structure and is very likeable.

Although it absolutely loves truffles, Red Boar wine is more of an everyday kind of character and would be more than content with something simple, rustled up midweek. *OINK*

More than 50 years of experience in the wine business, resulted in the creation of the family Wine Group known under the name Vinos & Bodegas Gallegas, owner of various wineries in different parts of Galicia, in North West Spain.

Winemaker Ruben Perez started out doing a degree in chemistry at the University of Santiago de Compostela, in Spain, and then became a Master in Viticulture, Oenology and Wine Marketing. He then went on to become the Technical Director at Bodegas Milenium in Ourense, Spain and has gone on to be a winemaker at wineries of varying sizes throughout the country.

All wines are made with the latest techniques and conform to strict quality parameters, from international medal winning quality wines from designated areas, Denomination de Origen, to various table- and bulk wines with an enormous market acceptance.

A selection of the ripest grapes, from high reputation vineyards are picked and then gently crushed, so as not to crush the seeds. The grapes are macerated before the juice undergoes fermentation and malolactic fermentation. No eggs or dairy products were used.

A brilliant, red ochre, this wine is intense and youthful, with flavours of blackcurrants, red cherries and nutmeg, with a gentle vegetal note that add balance.
