Once becoming king, Robert largely ate, ignored his wife and mocked his brother-in-law. Royal Lochnagar also enjoys regal connection, having held a Royal Warrant since 1848 awarded after a visit from Victoria and Albert. Unlike Robert Baratheon, Royal Lochnagar wear the crown well, continuing to produce exceptional whisky, well garnering an ever-increasing reputation for quality. This 12-year-old single malt is light and fruit forward, with notes of honeyed apricot and banana backed up by a subtle oak character of vanilla, brioche, caramel and baking spices.
