You'll find citrus, minerality and a meadowy grassiness. Rather like happening upon a lemon tree on a rocky outcrop.... in a field. One of the best examples of this much admired classic form.
Winegrowers for over 10 generations, the Etienne de Loury winery is based in the famous village of Chavignol close to Sancerre. Built in order to be 100% gravity powered, the winery itself is spectacular. The philosophy of the family, from the vineyard management through to the bottling process, is to respect the environment and allow the nature to express its talent.
