'What's that then?', we hear you cry. Well, *clears throat and bows exaggeratedly*... "Mr Sandeman has brought me a dream. He's made the cutest Port that I've seen. If you put it to your lips, it tastes like roses and clover. And when you try it your stilton's lonesome nights are over."
As we say, incredible, although we'll admit that this Port doesn't really taste that much of clover, but more like cassis and cedar. We wonder what clover tastes like...

In 1805 Sandeman became the first port company to brand a cask with an iron brand, giving the wine a guarantee of quality. The Sandeman ‘brand’ was later registered as a trademark in 1877 making it one of the oldest in the world. The iconic figure of the Sandeman Don appeared on bottles in 1928, again one of the first such trademarks ever created.
The Founder’s Reserve was vinified in the traditional manner, before fortification with neutral grape spirit and was aged in large oak vats with many years of use.
Intense, clean ruby red in colour, it has rich red fruit aromas with a touch of age that creates an elegant array of powerful favours, with the fruit and fire characteristic of young classic Porto balanced with the finesse of age.
