We must confess, we don't know all that much about Slovenia. They used to be part of Yugoslavia (do you remember Yugoslavia? They got to the Quarter finals in the 1990 World Cup. Good times), their capital's Ljubljana and that's really where our knowledge stops. We imagine the nation isn't well represented by notable ex-pat Melania Trump, if it was then every resident would spend all their time brushing off the advances of an orange cave troll.
One thing we have learnt about Slovenia is they have a growing reputation for wine. Sisi Riesling has a wonderful flavour profile of peach, pineapple, lime and white blossom, a truly wonderful wine to cheer you up if you spent all day trying to blank out your husband's golf talk.
