Plic, Plic, Plic is named for the emotional response to the sound of rain when you are inside looking out. Comforting that is, like looking out of the window of your central heated flat as rain flecks the glass. Opposed to anxious, like holding together your poorly constructed festival tent as a June monsoon threatens to wash away all your belongings in a river of Glastonbury mud.
Plic, Plic, Plic opens with an uplifting aroma profile of black fruit like cherries and blackberries and a freshness from red fruit like raspberries in particular with a hint of quality cigar box oak and spic. On the palate the wine is mouth filling, waves of black and red fruit with spice, herbs and a delicious natural freshness from the bright acidity. If only it could rain… Plic, Plic, Plic.
