When exploring the world of wine, you can either dip your toe in or you can 'bomb' from the top diving board (don't actually bomb; it hurts and it's very anti-social to other pool-goers). For example, you could try some wine from an unusual country but made from grapes you're familiar with, like travelling to China and eating in an Italian restaurant. On the other hand, you could immerse yourself in that nations wine culture by trying some native grape varieties. Tikves Cuvee Cyril is the latter experience. Made with Macedonian grape varieties Smederevka, Rekaciteli and a splash of Chardonnay, this white wine is an off-dry sensation of ripe stone fruits, melon, mango and tropical fruit flavours underpinned by a fresh citrus note. Hints of minerality and delicate floral notes enhance the refreshing palate and long-lasting finish.

The Tikveš winery was founded in 1885 and is the oldest and largest winery in South East Europe. In 2003, the winery was acquired by M6 Investment Group, and significant investments were made with particular attention being made to improving and modernizing the entire production process.
Located in the Tikveš region of Central Macedonia, the estate sustainably cultivates indigenous varieties such as Smederevka, Vranec and Kratoshija. The grapes are vinified in the state of the art cellar equipped with the latest technology.
The grapes were carefully sorted, destemmed and pressed. Each variety was vinified separately. The juice was clarified by sedimentation and then fermented under temperature controlled condition in stainless steel tanks to retain the purity of fruit.
