The 2008 harvest was exceptional, with great potential for aging, leading to this wonderful new Veuve Clicquot Vintage. To increase the complexity and aromatic richness of the 2008 vintage, 5% of the wines were produced and aged in wooden casks.
The result is a champagne exceptionally rich and crisp, with notes of spice and brioche complimented by fruity aromas. The palate is well structured and powerful, with a mineral feel before a truly enjoyable finish.
Veuve Clicquot was founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot, and over the years has built a reputation as one of the foremost vineyards in all of Champagne.
