This elegant blend of Tempranillo with Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo combined, is a gorgeously fragrant wine with soft fruit, warm spices and elegant toasty oak aromas. The palate is rich, warming and velvety with a touch of acidity and fine tannins. The vanilla from the oak is beautifully integrated into the raspberry fruit producing a fine and complex wine with great length.
High and persistent aromatic intensity, highlighting forest fruits and liquorice the palate it presents itself as a structured wine, with body and vigorous tannins which indicate good ageing potential.
Launched by C.V.N.E. in the 1920s, Viña Real became one of the pioneering wineries to make crianza wines in oak barrels, as well as one of the first wineries to produce age worthy wines in the Rioja Alavesa made from Tempranillo. A careful balance between tradition and modernity has defined Viña Real’s ethos ever since.
