Domaine Zind Humbrecht Heimburg Riesling 2018

Right, we've had it! We're tired of listening to the same old excuse as to why you're not sure about buying Alsace. Apparently you think their labels are 'a bit old fashioned'... well. Let us tell you something! You shallow, shallow people. They do it on purpose! They don't want anyone else to drink their wine. Why would they? Wines this good are few and far between.

Take this Riesling for example. The label might be a hurdle, but the wine's an athlete in its class. Beautifully weighted, superbly balanced, pacy, elegant. And what's more it's got a body that will age beautifully for another twenty years or so. Don't let them keep it to themselves!

Currently run by Olivier and Margaret Humbrecht, Domaine Zind Humbrecht was established in 1959 when the Humbrecht family vineyards, Gueberschwihr, and the Zind family vineyards, Wintzenheim, came together to produce wines. Before this, both family establishments produced and sold their own ranges of wines under their respective family names.

A pale lemon colour, the Zind Humbrecht Riesling offers and expressive and mineral nose. Crisp and ripe acidity on the palate, the wine has great structure and a long, light and dry finish.
